At the end of August
in 2007, I found myself in need of someone to take my 2 year old
Chesapeake Bay Retriever out during the day while I was at work a
couple of times a week. After performing a local search,
I found Outward Hound Adventures, run by Shana Rezac. Shana came
to my house and met my boy Seamus to assess his personality and
obedience. After we talked a bit, we decided that Shana would try
taking Seamus out alone at first and then see how he got on with
her dog, Otis.
Seamus has been going with Shana now a couple
of times a week for a few months and he is a happy and tired dog
when I get home at night. Shana always leaves me a note letting me
know where he went and what he did on his adventure that day.
Seamus goes to several different locations and he plays well with
Shana’s dog, Otis too.
If Seamus was not lucky enough to spend time
with Shana during the day, my life would be much more stressful
and he would be harder to manage at night after work. When I tell
Seamus that Shana is coming to take him out, his ears perk up and
his tail wags. My dog is happy and so am I. Shana loves the dogs
that she takes on her adventures. She chooses them carefully and
screens them for the best fit with the pack. She clearly has a
calling for this type of work and every dog and owner could
benefit from her assistance.

Abby was sooooo worn out last Tuesday
that she just wanted to lay around and sleep - no begging to go
outside and howl at the moon during the evening. I loved it!
If she
could talk, I'm certain she would tell me she's having the time of
her life. So glad that she and Otis hit it off.
Thanks again,
